About the NSSA

     The National Social Science Association is the largest interdisciplinary association in the United States. Its members consist of social scientists in two and four year colleges and represent the following disciplines: history, geography, education, economics, psychology, anthropology, sociology, ethnic studies, women's studies, interdisciplinary studies, political science, and other related studies.

    The Goal of this association is to provide in-service training through the spring National Technology and Social Science Conference, the summer seminar, and the fall National Professional Development Conference. The NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL SCIENCE CONFERENCE is held in the spring in Las Vegas, Nevada. This conference features technology sessions and demonstrations, along with the presentation of papers, discussions, demonstrations and workshops that include all of the social science disciplines. This national conference also features table top exhibits. The registration fee includes a hosted cocktail party, two continental breakfasts, one luncheon, and all coffee breaks. This conference also features a student paper competition for undergraduate and graduate students.

    The summer seminars have a theme for each seminar and are held in attractive summer sites and even involve cruises. The fall professional development conference is designed to meet the requirements for professional development and is held in cities across the country; all participants and attendees will receive a certificate showing the hours met by the meeting.

    All presentations at all conferences and seminars can be printed in the proceedings journals after the conferences. All presentations can be submitted to our refereed journal - THE NATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE JOURNAL or our new NATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY JOURNAL. All members can submit articles to both of our national journals and can become book and media reviewers. Book and media reviews appear in our newsletters and journal. Our goal is to give all social science faculty as well as students a greater opportunity to participate in conferences and seminars and to publish in our proceedings journal and national journals.
